For these pictures, I went a ways into a wildlife preserve around 6pm. I really liked how the shadows on the field looked like a symbol from a book/show I like. It doesn't quite transfer, but it was super sunny when I took these. For the second picture, I chose a Monet and used Paint Daubs as the filter to make it look like a painting. This location was the furthest into the preserve - partially because it was very muddy and I couldn't walk in any further.
This set has my favorite picture in it. For Small Puddle, Bit World, I got very close to a little patch of water on a path. This was the furthest in I went in the other direction due to this puddle. Instead of giving up and trying to walk around it, I decided to use it as my second location. It was the one place that actually looked like spring.
Around this pond was very muddy, so obviously I got as close as I could to it to take pictures. I like this area because the water here was very dark and very blue. Instead of being too dirty, like in the second picture which was closer to the bank, it was quite rich. The ripple in the pond was caused by the incredible amount of wind. To avoid stepping in the water or the mud, I elected to pose myself on some straw that was growing around the bank.
I thought that this site was very interesting. It had been so windy that the thistles were bent and stuck there even between gusts. In the first, I liked how the pond could be seen from over the top of the dead plants. Unfortunately, it hadn't begun to warm up completely yet, so I couldn't get any shots of alive plants excluding grass. I thought it was funny that even though these pictures were taken from different places down the path, they look similar.
These pictures were taken near the ones with the field in them. I loved how bright and vivid the sky was and how well the trees lined up on their own. It had just gotten to the point where the trees had some buds on them, so I wanted to make sure I captured that. I chose to take most of these pictures in portrait orientation because I wanted more of the picture going back rather than spread like in the very last picture. This location was interesting because there were a lot of smaller trees below the bigger ones, making it look like the trees were growing out of a little nest.
